My most important role is that of mom to four young adults. They are truly my joy and I feel lucky every day that they call me, “Mom”. I am also a spouse, entrepreneur, business owner, therapist, licensed social worker, sister, and a daughter. I love each of the “hats” I wear as they keep me on my toes and my brain active. I love the adventure each and every day brings. 

I have been a licensed social worker since 1997 and have spent most of my career working with children and families. In the 20+ years I have worked as a social worker, I have had the pleasure of being involved in over 300 adoptions as a therapist, homestudy provider, consultant, post-placement provider and as someone who has helped families to find their adoption match. I have worked with children, teens, adults, families, couples, and individuals. I am an approved supervisor and enjoy supervising individuals working toward social work licensure. 

Prior to working in the adoption field, I worked in community mental health as a therapist for dually diagnosed adults and as a school- based therapist. In 1996, I co-founded a non-profit, Technology Access Foundation, which partners with school districts, educators, and organizations to challenge the current public education system with a focus on children of color. For the last twelve years I have been the Executive Director of an adoption agency as well holding down a private therapy practice.

While I have loved my career as a social worker, I became a Master Certified Life Coach because I enjoy working with people on a different level that utilizes my skills as a social worker and as a life coach. I am passionate about helping people discover the deep wealth of resources that exist within them and how to use those resources to get the most out of their life.
